Components

Components are tools that are built for the Gis Framework. They are the basis of any interaction with the user directly from the silverlight application. All components are displayed in the toolbar.

Developing New Components¶

Main Article Developing New Components

New components can be created by developers for use in the framework. After implementing the base interface IComponentBase and made exportable through MEF components can be used in virtual applications.

Existing Components¶

Many components have already been developed for the framework. They are contained in the namespace Fdot.Gis.Framework.Components. Some of these components have the ability to be further configured for a virtual application.
